About Me

I wear multiple hats at work and have strong interest in different technologies. My ultimate goal is to provide sound solutions to address problem. My main duty is database administration. My tasks include maintaining high availability of business data and improving SQL server performance by examining server configuration and execution plan, optimizing queries and tuning indexes.

My career started off as a manufacturing engineer. While designing testing process, I integrated process with Microsoft Access for data inspection as well as testing automation and reports. It includes design and development of manufacturing databases, queries, forms, reports for user interface as well as reports for inventory, shipping and other departments. I was heavily involved with I.T. department when the company adopted MES (Manufacturing Execution System). That is when I started venturing into I.T. world.

I took an opportunity to become an IT professional for database administration, software and website development, active directory, web servers and other IT functions. I redesigned company internal software and revamped their website. It felt great when my works were able to provide high efficient solutions to help users in their daily operation, and significantly reduce their reporting time.

As cloud computing moves to the forefront, I am also involved in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Okta, and other cloud platform to design and provide comprehensive solution.

As my experience and skills grow, I work closely with other groups including security, infrastructure, network architects and engineers for architectural design and implementations.

Here are some of the certifications I have earned,

Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

In addition to my Bachelor Degree, I have also received my Master of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems. I am an avid reader of online blogs and member of user groups. The communities have inspired me so much that I decide to start my own blog.
